Paradise City Art Festival - October 8th, 9th, and 10th, 2011

Two Years Later.....

Okay, it has been far too long since a post, but so much has happened for us over these last two years. Our family has a new addition being the biggest news/excuse! Olivia (4 years old) has a little sister, Quinn. She was born on January 9, 2011 in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is a feisty little girl...great addition to our quiet, agreeable threesome! We have been adjusting to the additional family member, and creating new art forms and ideas. Kevin has been focusing on larger sculpture pieces with very unique color patterns and designs. They were very well received at their debut last year at the Celebration of Fine Art, with several sales and commission pieces placed. We just returned from the first weekend show we have attended in several years. The Paradise City Art Festival in Northampton, MA was quite a success. The show was much larger than we had anticipated, which was a nice surprise. We hope to be able to participate in more shows as the kids get settled and the inventory grows. We are in the process of adding the sculpture pieces to the website, but have added some photos to the blog in the meantime. Thank you to all of the people who have supported us over the years, and to all of the new people we met last weekend at the Paradise City Arts Festival - both artists and patrons. We are getting excited to return to Scottsdale this year for our 5th year at the Celebration of Fine Art. The 22nd Annual Celebration of Fine Art will take place at a new location this year from January 14th through March 25th. Be sure to check the website: www.celebrateart.com for information, updates, and press releases.

Getting Ready To Head West.....

Although we are really excited for the holiday season...we are also very busy getting ready to head out to Arizona for the winter months. After lots of work (and very careful packing), we will head west for The Celebration of Fine Art in Scottsdale. We will be taking part in the 20th Anniversary this year, and feel so lucky and proud to be a part of the experience. The Celebration of Fine Art is a place where your can visit 100 artists' studios in less than a day....one of the premiere art events in the west. The event takes place from January 16th - March 28th, and is open daily from 10am to 6pm. It is located on Scottsdale Road just south of the Loop 101 and exit 34 in the big white tents. Hope to see you there....and wishing everyone a happy and prosperous 2010!

Soggy Fall Shows and Events....

The trip to New York was filled with hopes for success and exposure. The Armonk show venue was perfect for a nice fall weekend, but provided a muddy mess with all of the rain on Saturday. We still managed to meet some very nice people, make some great connections, and even sell some larger pieces to those who prepared for the wet weather! We were looking forward to this weekends local Wellfleet Oyster Fest here on the Cape and a live demonstration at "The Frying Pan Gallery" on the harbor, but the Northeast winds and rain, rain, rain prevented this from taking place. Looking forward to some dryer weather....and getting ready for the holiday season! The new sandblasted wine decanters and holiday ornaments make great gifts....contact us for more information.
